The IT List

What is an IT list, you ask? It’s all the cool things I’ve discovered lately. I’d also love to know what you’re into right now. Message me on Instagram to share anything you think should be on my radar.

Guggenheim Museum Presents Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the Future

I’ve been a fan of Swedish painter Hilma af Klint for a while now and just found out that the Guggenheim Museum is hosting an exhibit of her artwork until next April. Looks like I need to book a trip to New York City now! I’ve always been drawn to her use of color, her unique shapes and her sense of wonder. What’s even more fascinating is Hilma was a spiritualist who belonged to a group of witches who regularly held seances. She interpreted messages from these seances into her art. How spooky and awesome is that? Images from Guggenheim.org

The Work of Chloe Sheppard

I recently stumbled upon the work of London photographer and filmmaker Chloe Sheppard. It was love at first sight. Chloe’s aesthetic is soft, dreamy and nostalgic. Her film photos have a color and style you don’t see as much of these days. I truly appreciate her artistry and plan to follow along with her as she creates more magic.

Artist Karin Haas’ Instagram

I’m in total awe of artist Karin Haas’ work. Her pastel paintings always draw me in and leave me wanting to plaster her work on all the walls of my home. Her Instagram is (not surprisingly) also curated to perfection, offering viewers endless examples of muted colors, inspiring women and her beautiful artwork. I always leave utterly inspired.

Chateau Sonoma

Chateau Sonoma—just the name alone is pretty dreamy. I’ve always dreamed of living in wine country or maybe even the French countryside, preferably looking like I stepped out of a Nancy Meyers film. That’s what Chateau Sonoma reminds me of. Created by Sarah Anderson in 2002, it was inspired by the beauty and simplicity of French lifestyle. It’s a slice of French living in wine country. The farm also looks spectacular, and offers fresh produce, jams, honey and other French pantry favorites like herbs de Provence. I think I need to head to Sonoma very soon!
